So Thankful

Thanksgiving is on the 27th this year. My goal for the month of November is to post something that I am thankful for every day. Obviously I missed the first two days of the month, so I am going to post all of them now.

I am using A 30-Day ThanksGIVING Journal by Sheri Graham to record my thoughts. I'm not sure if I bought it or if it was a free download from somewhere at some point in time, but when I went looking for notebooking pages to use with my boys I found them on my PC. I like them as there is a verse to copy (I'm only giving my boys part of each to do as handwriting is still hard for them, but I'm doing the whole thing in my nicest cursive. ::grin::). Then there is a spot to record something you are thankful for. I love that at the bottom is a spot to record some way to give of yourself that day.

November 1st

Today I am THANKFUL for the freedom to openly praise God without fear of persecution. There are many Christians in other countries who would be killed without a single thought simply because they worship the LORD. Pray for them today.

November 2nd

Today I am THANKFUL for my health, my strength, my stamina, and my endurance. I'm thankful I can complete the tasks I set for myself. Even with a chronic illness, I still have the ability to care for my family and myself.

November 3rd

Today I am THANKFUL for the abundance of food we have here in this country. We can run to the corner store to buy pretty much anything while so many go hungry in this world.

What are you thankful for today?

  3. Excellent idea and I agree with cynthia that we tend to breeze right through the month of November and Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for - no matter who wins the election. God is in control and our trust is in Him

  4. I am thankful for beer.

And I had to type 'flegies' for the word verification. Is that something that comes out of a 4-yr-old's nose?

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
