Homeschool Memoirs: #16 Candy

This week it’s seriously going to be just fun. This week share your favourite candies. I know from being on the HSBA Post team that Sprittibee and Dawn love gummy-bears, and maybe Bunny too. Have fun with this… and you’re welcome to post a photo of YOU eating your favourite candy. Haha!

God’s Word is also like sweetness to our souls. His sweet love, forgiveness, comfort, peace, and more is what makes our lives seem a little more bearable when things get rough. Whenever you eat your sweet piece of goodness remember that God loves you and will always be there when life seems sour.

Share a scripture for this week as well. One that lifts you up when you’re feeling discouraged.

I would so love to say this was a hard week for me. Unfortunately, that would be a huge lie! I am a chocolaholic. (As an aside...I just had to share that I spelled "chocolaholic" incorrectly but it was in my spell checker!!!) I love chocolate. I should clarify & say that I love milk chocolate. I'm not a huge fan of dark or white chocolate. I have many, many favorites, but this is what I always come back to....

And I really love the seasonal shapes. I have no clue why as they are typically more expensive & less in a package, but I love the Easter eggs, the Halloween pumpkins & the Christmas trees. Yum-O!

As for my scripture...

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This one has been a favorite of mine for a really long time. It helps to remember this when things are going rough. God does not plan for harm to come to me & if bad things happen He will turn it for good. That's something that is always important to remember.

For those who have been praying for my mom...she is now home but we are now waiting to see what the next step. She will be having surgery in the near future to remove the tumor that was found but we won't know if it's cancer for a bit. Please continue to pray. Thanks.

  1. I agree, Reese's are the best! :) I also wanted to tell you I finished 9 scrapbook pgs today! Still have lots more to go, but I'm getting there! Lol...

  2. I love that verse. It has been a tremendous encouragement to me and my family over the past 2 years.

  3. Milk chocolate is my fave, too. We picked the same verse this week! I enjoyed visiting your blog. :)

  4. Praying for your mum, Lisa.

  5. Still praying for your mom and I also LOVE milk chocolate!

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
