This is actually 2007. My old computer died earlier that year & all of my older photos are still stuck on the hard drive there. One of my "to do" projects is to get the hard drives installed in a different tower to I can retrieve photos and files. Still hasn't happened yet. ;-)
The photo above is of N & my nephew. This was in July 2007. They were about 5 & 6 I think. My sister had to make an emergency trip to Missouri so I was staying at her house watching her son & their dogs. My BIL has had multiple brain surgeries for a benign tumor. This particular summer he had recovered well & was in Missouri for his two week drill time for the Army National Guard. He suffered a really bad seizure while there. My sister flew out & drove him home. It was a rather rough time in their lives. His first tumor was discovered when my nephew was still a baby. My BIL is doing well now - other than some short term memory issues.
I had bought some 8x10 canvases at the craft store & let the boys loose with some paint. They had a great time. My nephew's creations still hang in my sister's creation & I have one of N's in my bedroom.
just linked on through 4littlemen. i think it's so cool you 1) live in maine and 2) live on a family homestead. i too grew up where grandma / grandpa / aunt / uncle / great aunt / great uncle all could see what i was doing at all times. LOL. now i'm one mile away and missing them but hope to move back on the family farm someday.
