1+1+1=1

Carissa over at 1+1+1=1 is having a 1000 Subscribers Celebration! This is one of my favorite blogs to get ideas for school for the younger set. I'm choosing to introduce myself here & hope many of you click on over & celebrate with Carissa. She is having some great giveaways as part of the celebration.

My name is: Lisa B.

I have: a pretty cool hubby and three boys, B age 12 (13 in just a few days), N age 8-1/2 & J age 5-1/2. We have a "mutt" Annie & six Barred Rock chickens with six more chickens coming soon - working on getting the new coop done.

I am: a Christian wife and mother, homeschooling "teacher", slightly "green & crunchy," avid photography, book lover, and computer junkie.

The name of my blog is: The Berry Patch & Freedom Academy. I actually have two more but I don't post on them anymore. I just don't want to delete them! One is for my old photography business - which I no longer run - and the other is a Project 365 blog where I used to post a photo a day but I did not do that this year. Maybe next year....

I blog about: My main blog is The Berry Patch. I post about our life living in rural Maine, school things & I also include reviews to books I read plus I'm doing book "blog tours" this year with an occasional giveaway. I also am part of the TOS Homeschool Crew this year so lots of curriculum reviews this year as well. My new blog is called Freedom Academy & I'm using that as our daily homeschool log. I am thinking of having that one printed at the end of the year to use as our yearbook of sorts.

I have been reading at 1+1+1=1: for awhile now but I don't remember how long. I want to say at least two years. I'm always finding some great things to use with my younger guy or the toddler girls that I babysit.

My favorite Bible verse: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

I participate in Tot School: No, I don't have any tots of my own but I do watch a tot so perhaps this year.
