FOR TODAY... Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Outside my window...dusk is falling. There is still some daylight outside though and it's already a little past 8:30pm here. I love this time of year. I love long days and lots of sunlight. Although, today has been pretty rainy - we've needed it though so I'm not complaining.

I am thinking...as much as my boys like baseball (and me too) we will all be so glad when the season is over. Just a few more games.

I am thankful for...good friends and good food. We spent a very enjoyable day on Sunday. After church we headed to a friend's house for a BBQ. We had such a great time that before we realized it, it was time for evening church. We were gone all day but had a great time.

From the learning rooms...still using Five in a Row with J6 & Miss H. They are both enjoying it. Working on a summer schedule. N9 is still continuing (hit or miss some days) on his train study and B13 is working on his Narnia study. This may all change very shortly.

From the kitchen...not much right now. Baseball still rules our evenings so not many meals need to be planned. We do simple "grab-and-go" style and "fend-for-yourself" meals right now.

I am wearing...a modified winter outfit...fuzzy socks, winter crocs, jeans, and t-shirt. It was rainy and colder here today.

I am creating...too much! Some days my head just spins. I'm working on getting wedding photos edited and uploaded for two different couples (almost done with one & I have yet to start on the 2nd), summer school schedule, and all kinds of other mini-projects.

I am going...to the used homeschool book sale this weekend. I can't wait! I love this sale. It's crazy and crowded and choke full of good books for good prices. It's pure heaven for me. The only downside is the two younger boys are going with me this year. I don't have anyone home to watch them. I plan to give them $5 each and set them loose. 

I am reading...a blog tour book...Shades of Morning. So far to good. I also have a Debbie Macomber series sitting here just waiting for me. That's next on my agenda.

I am hoping...for a fun-filled weekend with well behaved boys. I can hope can't I?

I am hearing...Star Trek playing on the TV. Hubby & B13 are finishing it. They started it last night. This is the newest movie with Chris Pine. It's excellent.

Around the house...cleaning up and getting ready for spring. I "opened" the porch this past weekend. It's nice to be able to get out there and grill and sit and enjoy the evenings. 

One of my favorite things...watermelon. I had my first of the season on Sunday. So yummy!

A few plans for the rest of the week: baseball, baseball, and more baseball. Games the next three nights. Then the used book sale on Saturday & time with my favorite friends after that.
