Not only do I live in a household with two very picky children (I have three but thankfully one isn't picky!), but my dog is also extremely picky. In fact, when she first came to our house, I stocked up on regular dog bones. She ate one or two (just to be polite perhaps) before I started finding them lying around the house where she would leave them. I figured she wanted upgraded ones and began buying the "meat-basted" dog bones. Same thing happened.
I should mention that Annie didn't come to our family until she was three years old. We were the third house she lived in but she's been here the longest. It's now going on five years since she first arrived at our homestead. And to give the poor thing credit, she is a tad bit neurotic about other things as well. Never bring out a laser light unless you are prepared to have her chase it for hours!
Recently I was given the chance to try out some new dog food by Nutrish. We had to sort of pitch why we would be a good pick. I think I said something like, "Since my dog is so picky about what she eats, then if she likes the food, then it has to be good!"
This photo is not representative of what Annie thought!
She loved the free sample we were given of Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6 dry dog food. It arrived after we had been gone for the day so I promptly opened up the package. I wish I had thought to take a photo! It came wrapped up with a new doggie bowl tied in cellophane with the food sample all tied with a doggie paw ribbon! I gave Annie the sample of food (about a cup) and she scarfed it right down! I was amazed at how fast she ate it up! And for the record, she was fed previously this day! She didn't eat that fast because she was hungry.
I would like to also point out that this is the same dog who will take bites of her food that she doesn't like and just drop it on the floor outside her food dish. She is that picky! There was no food left once she got started.
Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6 dry dog food has six simple ingredients and contains no corn, wheat or soy. No fillers is a good thing! The sample Annie tried was the lamb and brown rice formula. Guess what the first two ingredients listed were? Yup! Lamb and brown rice.
Another great thing is that Rachel Ray gives back to charities that help animals with each purchase of Nutrish.
Overall I thought this was a great product and plan to continue feeding it to my ultra-picky dog over the coming weeks.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
