Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. What makes you stand to your feet and cheer?

Lots of stuff.  Hero welcomes.  Sporting events.  Great music.

2. What's your favorite patriotic song?

God Bless the USA - it always makes me tear up.

3. Do you believe that opposites attract? If you have a significant other are you opposites?

Absolutely and absolutely! My hubby & I are polar opposites. I sometimes think God was laughing when He matched us up.

4. You're going to get a behind the scenes look someplace...where would you like that someplace to be?

Oh wow. That's a hard choice. How about....a movie. Any movie. It always looks so exciting but I'm sure it's rather boring at times.

5. How far would you have to travel to ride a carousel (merry-go-round)?

Probably at least a couple hours. Although, I wouldn't ride one. I used to and loved them. Then I had an inner ear issue when I was in college. I know get dizzy very easily and the last time I tried riding one I almost passed out - literally.

6. When was the last time you saw fireworks? What was the occasion? Do you enjoy fireworks?

It's been years - almost seven to be exact. We went in to the big city to see the fireworks over the river before we moved away. I remember we had B14 who at the time was about seven and our middle son was three and J7 was just a baby. I even photographed them. They were great. I'm really hoping to go see some this year!

7. Of all the 'beauty products' you own, what item do you consider to be the most overpriced?

All of them. I don't own a ton though as I've never been in to make-up or "beauty" per se.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

So glad my hubby is home for the next few days on vacation. We were suppose to go away for a few days - unplug and unwind. Unfortunately his work needed him within cell phone range so here we are. I have lots of plans for cleaning and planning and just hanging out and having fun. And it appears our two youngest will still get to go "upta camp" with Grammie and Grandpa. They'll be surprised when I tell them in the morning.

  1. My hubs is taking a few days off in the next week too...it will be nice to have him home and we have some things we'd like to finish up in the yard, etc.

    Enjoy your 4th!

  2. I don't like to ride carousels either. Not fun being dizzy :/ I don't like rides in general! Just one more way that Hubs and I are opposites. Ha! Love how you said God was laughing when he put you two together :)

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
