Homeschool Bowling Day

This day almost didn't happen as the weather people were predicting a lot of snow to occur. However, it thankfully didn't hit as hard as predicted. There were four families that showed up at the bowling alley. We did their "family bowl" special which meant we got the lane for 1-1/2 hours, a 12" one-topping pizza & a pitcher of soda for just $30. We had three lanes, but split four ways the price was slightly less per family.

The kids had such a great time! My guys had never been bowling. They were fun to watch. We had a bunch of six & eight pound balls for them to use. My N (the 5 year old) was being SO patient waiting for his turn. When I could finally hear him going, "Mommy! When will it be MY turn?" is when I realized I had forgotten to put him in the line-up! YIKES! It was electronic scoring so I just had him take J's place. At three years of age he didn't really care. He had fun running around. We got the correct line-up for the 2nd game.

We were able to play 1-1/2 games in the time we had. We had so much fun that we are discussing trying to do this every month. We'll see how it turns out.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
