Project 365 is a neat thing I heard about on one of my groups. Basically the challenge is to take one photo a day. I take a lot of photos anyway but I'm generally NOT in them. So, I'm going to try focusing this project on myself
This is a photo of my left hand. The red marks on it are my birthmarks. Many friends don't notice them right away. I tend to forget they are even there. I didn't get a great photo & I even have a couple on the webbing between my thumb & first finger. To me, they are just a part of who I am. Even though my Mom reminds me every so often I could have them removed by laser surgery. I don't want to do that. They make me - well, me. The doctor did tell my mom they would fade by the time I was two years old. I think he thought they were strawberry marks. My brother had one & so does my nephew & even my third son, but all of theirs were on their foreheads. They all did fade by that age. My grandfather thought I sucked my thumb too much. Not sure how he came to that conclusion. Well, since I'm now 35 years old & they are still there, I'm pretty sure they aren't going away. But I like them & I wanted to use this as my first photo of my new project.
ARe you sure you are not a closet thumb sucker? ::snort:: I can't photos to load today...glad you are able to do it.
ReplyDeleteLisa, GREAT theme, to focus on yourself, for the 365 project! I can't wait to see what you post!
ReplyDeleteA very interesting choice. I'm glad you included the story behind the photo too. :o)
ReplyDeleteHadn't noght about posting any particular body parts or birthmarks (LOL)! Hmmm... I'll have to think about that. I love reading the stories behind the pictures.
