We had a great party for my new six year old son the night of his birthday. However, the original plan was to give him a train shaped cake. This child has LOVED trains with a passion since he was about two years old. However, the weather interfered. We were without power all day on Thursday - the night before. The plan was for me to bake the cake & my wonderful MIL was going to frost it that night. I couldn't bake it. She couldn't make the frosting. We were kind of stuck. My child did concede to a "regular cake" on Friday night & his Grammie made him the special train cake on Sunday. We enjoyed it after a fabulous Easter dinner. Here are some photos:

My boys.
Yes, I picked out their shirts. They don't seem
to mind all that much. As long as they let me do it, I'm going to!
That's an ADORABLE CAKE! I LOVE it. Both of our sons are really into trains right now.
