Book Review: The Yada Yada Prayer Group

Okay, I am completely hooked on this series!!! I have seen it mentioned time after time on line by friends so I decided to add it to my Summer Reading Challenge list. I'm so happy I did! I was hooked within the first chapter. It's written by Neta Jackson. She has a wonderful way with words. I felt like I was sitting down with a friend while she was telling me a story. It was engaging & uplifting all at the same time. I truly enjoy Christian fiction that makes me think about my walk with the Lord. While this book may seem like fluff, it certainly made me take a hard look at how I was living my life. I identified maybe a bit too much with the lead character. I highly, highly recommend this series. I can't wait to get the next few to start on!

  1. AND I just read the latest installment in this series, lol. I can't remember which book is which, but I think this is No. 1? If so, they only get better! I've especially enjoyed watching Jody's character evolve, since I did not like her at all in the beginning!

  2. This is such a fun series...and I learn and am challenged while reading it too. I have the last one here - to reward myself with.....I just started one today - but maybe next. I hate that there isn't one to read when I finish this one - so I've been waiting and waiting - maybe the next one will be out when I begin it. ::snort::

  3. I have book 5 and 6, will gladly send them to you!

Want another really FUN series to read? Try the "Dearest Dorothy" series, by Charlene Ann Baumbich (the last name's for sure, not sure if the Ann is there, lol, but it is Charlene Baumbich).

I know there's another one coming out soon...can NOT WAIT!!!!

  4. Oh...and I had to laugh at Kristine's comment about Jody. I didn't like her either...but it's because she is SO like me...

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
