My friend, Deb, had this on her blog. It's a very fast but fun quiz. Here's my result.
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. | |

For those of you who know me, you can stop laughing now. ;-) I have lived all thirty ::cough, cough:: something years of my life in MAINE people! I've never been further west than NEW YORK! ::chuckling to self:: At least this gave me something to laugh about before heading off to bed. Too funny. Night y'all! Oh wait, now my southern accent is coming out! ::sigh:: ;-)
I love a Maine (east coast) accent. I'm from Texas and have a slight Texas drawl. I'll have to go over and try this. See you soon - Kellan
ReplyDeleteLove the name of your blog, btw - cute!

Funny! I used to live in Downeast Maine and I still miss the great, or should I say "wicked good" accent. Everyone shopped at "Mah-den's" instead of Marden's. hee-hee
