FOR TODAY (November 10, 2008)...
Outside my window...
an overcast and dreary fall day. It was even raining (again) this morning for a brief time. The sun is valiantly trying to peak through the clouds. There is even talk of (shhh!) snow in the forecast for Wednesday.
I am thinking...
I need to become more proactive in my life in many areas. I need to dive in to the Bible more rather than less. I need to rely on my Lord more to get me through the day.I am thankful for...
so many things. I've been chronicling them this month. I'll add my special post for today later on.
From the learning rooms...
not a thing. I gave my children this week off. My hubby is at hunting camp for 10 days so I'm taking advantage of that & working on some mommy driven projects this week. The kids are enjoying the freedom to play. I may sneak in some learning later in the week.
From the kitchen...
nothing. ;-) I just started a new diet today & I'm cutting out white products & starches. So far so good. Want to see what I ate for lunch today?
a mixture of lettuce, sugar snap peas (oh my - yummy!) and some baked chicken shredded on top. And it was actually very yummy!
I am wearing...
the "comfy" outfit...winter crocs with regular socks, jeans, old t-shirt, and a fleece top. Nice & warm and toasty.
I am creating...
scrapbooking kits for Saturday's get together with Beth & Tammy.
I am going...
to a homeschool meeting & I have to leave in 15 minutes. Yikes!
I am reading...
some magazines and still working on The Sword of Truth series. Now on to book #3.
I am hoping...
my hubby brings home a deer from hunting camp. The meat would be welcomed.
I am hearing...
the dryer tumbling a load of clothes around, my two younger boys playing (loudly) in their room...I need to remind them what "quiet time/naptime" really entails I think.
Around the house...
getting ready for winter & the holiday season. I need to put plastic up on the windows & make sure everything outside is put away before we get (shhh!) snow. We had our first lasting snow on 11/20 last year. ::sigh:: Let's hope that global warming thing kicks in & it holds off until Christmas this year. ;-)
One of my favorite things...
"hanging out" on the computer & meeting people, reading blogs, and now...thanks to Deb & my brother, Facebook. LOL
A few plans for the rest of the week:
the homeschool meeting today, a doctor's appointment to the big city tomorrow, Bible study on Wednesday & AWANA on Thursday. I'm hoping the week flies by. No MOPS this week as my hubby has our truck at camp & our teeny-tiny car only fits five - if I squish them in real tight.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
