I'm Thankful For...

...the fact that my life appears to be SO busy that I can't keep up with my "thankful" for posts. ::sigh::

...my church. Typically when you attend a church there is a small core group of people who do all the behind the scenes work for programs and activities. They are the ones that staff the nursery on Sunday morning or plan a potluck on Saturday night. You know the ones. However, I'm very thankful that my church isn't like this. I would have to say at least half the folks who attend help in some way. Some more than others, but all are involved. It's so nice to see & to not feel like the burden falls directly on to your own shoulders.

...my MOPS group. I wasn't able to attend this week & I so missed it! My hubby had our truck & I could not fit all six of us in our little compact car. I'm thankful for the interaction with other moms, for the great fellowship, and for the outreach to unsaved moms. Over half of our moms are unsaved & yet come back week after week - to a church building - to meet with other moms. Even when we talk about God & how to be save - they come back. It's great.

...for a nice day spent at home with my boys anticipating Daddy's return home. I spent the day cleaning the trailer from stem to stern. It's shining now. I'm thankful I was able to do that.

...a hubby willing to take a late night out on the town with his wife to go see a movie (Fireproof to be exact). He had a lot of work to catch up on after being gone for a week. It would mean his mom being able to watch the kids - late. We tend to not do this often if at all possible because they get up so early to go to work, but she willingly (and immediately) said yes to doing this for us so I'm thankful for my MIL as well. Even though we had to take separate cars (he came straight from work) & even though he went straight home so his mom could go to bed (I stayed in the city to get groceries) it was a great night. The movie is excellent. If you are a local IRL friend, go see it SOON. I'm not sure how long it will be in the local theaters. There were only four couples there last night. I'd love to see it stay.

...for my Bible studies. I attend two. One is a Life Transformation Group with one other lady that meets on Tuesday nights at her house just down the road. The second is a couple's Bible study that meets on Wednesday nights. It does mean I'm out of the house three nights in a row (we have AWANA on Thursday nights), but the accountability & study has been nice.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
