Book Review: What Happens When Women Pray

Our church hosts a large "Ladies Day" every fall. One issue that kept reoccuring was that the day fell right in the middle of hunting season. Many ladies weren't able to come due to lack of child care while their hubbies were out hunting. So the planning team decided to switch it to the spring. There will be no ladies day this year but in April of 2010 it will begin again.

What does all this have to do with this book?

One of the ladies thought it would be helpful to have this study during the month of March in order to help teach the ladies in the church how to "pray & then plan" as it mentions in the book.

This was a short study. It only lasted four weeks. It couldn't have been more timely.

It is an excellent book and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you want to revitalizing or start a wonderful pray life, get this book! It's an easy read. While it was helpful to do this as a group, I don't feel it's necessary to get the full benefit of the book. The author has been teaching "how to pray seminars" for many years. Her writing is easy to understand. The impact of the book is far reaching. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

I'm not going to say any more. Get the book!

  1. We did this in a women's Bible study a few years ago, and I agree--excellent study!

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
