Review: StudyPod

Photobucket

I was very excited when I heard we'd be checking out the Studypod by GENIO for the TOS Homeschool Crew. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I hid this little beauty from my boys when it first came so I'd have a chance to use it first. Unfortunately, they did spy me with it one morning and now it's hidden once more so it doesn't disappear permanently in one of their rooms - accidentally on purpose of course.

The StudyPod reminds me of the document holders I used in the past during my previous occupation as a typist but so much nicer than those! The StudyPod looks like a book. It opens to hold a book or other documents to ease studying (or reading).

Inside each StudyPod on the right hand side is a pocket (held in by Velcro) that allows for a student to stash study items they need such as pens, pencils, or even an MP3 player.

It stands up anywhere - on a table, desk, and even a bed. It holds various sizes of books. And it holds them open and hands-free. I've been using it at the table while eating lunch. It's great if I am eating something that requires two hands. It allows me to still have an open book without juggling food and a book - never a good combo. The wire page holders are excellent and easy to use even one-handed.

Check out this short 1 minute video to see a StudyPod in action and to fully understand its benefits.

The StudyPod comes in three different colors - blue, black, or pink - for $19.95 each. The company also sells a BookPod which is really the same product. However, the name StudyPod didn't convey the fact that this product could be used for pleasure thus they market both names. The BookPod also comes in three different colors - black, gray, or beige - for the same price, $19.95. However, if you purchase two or more (and you can mix & match either the StudyPod or BookPod) you can purchase them for the discounted price of $16.95 each instead.

As a bonus for, GENIO - the makers of StudyPod and BookPod - is offering a $5 off coupon code for orders from the website. Enter the code TOSBLOG5 when ordering to receive your additional $5 off your total order!

  2. Oh, this is handy! It could be used for cook books too, maybe?

  3. Absolutely! It can be used for any book! I forgot to mention cookbooks since I use one very well-used Betty Crocker one for the most part & it lays flat. ;-)

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
