Monthly "Ahhhhhh" Time

A bit of history first....

Obviously I've known my sister my whole life. She's the one in blue in the photo above. Folks say we look alike. I don't see it but most do. When she had her son back in 2002 she finally got in to scrapbooking - after I had nagged her for a few years. At the time I lived further south in the state & I hosted a monthly scrapbooking "crop." Various ladies from my church & the area would come and we'd spend 12 hours at least working on scrapbooks. It was a blast. That it where I met Tammy. She had heard about the crops at work & asked to come. We sat next to each other that first day, began chatting, and the rest, as they say, is history. We hit it off. This was in 2003 when I was pregnant with J6. Time flies!

When my family relocated further north it was no longer possible to do the monthly get togethers down south. It was now a two hour drive for me. Once the scrapbooking get togethers at the church stopped we began getting together to scrapbook at my sister's house, just Beth, Tammy and I and we continue to this day.

We even take long extended weekends away from time to time to a hotel for kid-free, hubby-free scrapbooking time. We share the cost of a suite and end up having plenty of room to set up tables, watch movies, eat, and have a blast staying up late and talking. We have another planned for April & I can't wait!

I always enjoy my time with these two friends. Always.

  1. I love hearing about these times - nearly makes me want to do "real" scrapbooking. Almost. LOL What a blessing to have such special fellowship.

  3. FUN! I wish I could fit in more time for scrapbooking! I have some friends coming over in a couple of weeks and I'm really looking forward to that time.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
