It was a pretty routine school week around here. Although, we're still tweaking things but when isn't a homeschooler tweaking something. ;-)
Monday was a rather full day. I introduced the two older boys to new spelling and vocabulary books. I really like them, but I'm not quite sure they are as thrilled. N9 is using a generic spelling book and B14 also has a new spelling book plus I added Worldly Wise for him.
The boys had a great time on Tuesday when I let them paint their salt dough maps. It took quite a while for them to dry, but they loved it. I so enjoy seeing them getting excited about school.
Photos of the final projects coming soon.
Not much other than normal work happened on Wednesday. The boys did all of their regular work and we did a bit of together school. Cabin fever is beginning to set in.
Thursday the boys ended up with a day off. We made up for it on Friday. Although, Friday I was not feeling well. Thankfully I already had checklists ready for the boys so while I took a sick day on Friday, they did their school work.
Head on over to Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers to join the weekly wrap-up.
Hope you're feeling better, Lisa-Anne! My oldest uses Wordly Wise as well...Can't wait to see the painted maps!
