Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. What reveals more about a woman-her refrigerator or her purse?

Her purse - most definitely! In fact, my hubby won't even venture in to that area. If he needs something and I tell him it's in my purse, he just hands the whole thing to me to dig through. I carry a rather large one (okay, okay, it's a small tote!) and usually have just about anything I need at my fingertips. I like that.

2. When was the last time you went to the zoo? Where? What's your favorite zoo animal?

A real honest-to-goodness zoo with lions and tigers and bears (oh my!)? Over two years ago and it's not really a "zoo" per se but a sanctuary for discarded animals that people either got as pets or were injured in the wild. Although, last week we did go to the Maine Wildlife Park (post coming soon - I hope!). However, that only contains native Maine animals. Fun nonetheless!

I'm not sure what my favorite zoo animal would be but I'm guessing a large cat of some sort.

3. What social issue fires you up?

I try not to get too fired up as it takes me a long time to come down. I hate irresponsibility of any kind and stupidity. Sadly they seem to go hand-in-hand.

4. Are you a coupon clipper? If so, are you extreme?

Yes and no. I do clip coupons but I am in no way extreme. I will make a list by what coupons I have on hand for the things I would buy anyway. I'm not above buying store brands/off brands to save money and typically I end up doing that over using the coupons as it's cheaper! I'm not brand loyal on most things. Extreme couponing takes far more time than I'm willing to give it. Aside from that, I live in the boonies of Maine. I would have to drive at least an hour or more to be find more than the 2-3 stores we have in our area in order to take advantage of all the good deals. Have you seen the cost of gas lately? Yeah, I'm not going that far to save a few cents.

5. What is one of your favorite souvenirs brought back from your travels?

Since we don't travel a lot, I don't have much to pick from. Way back in 1999 though my hubby & I had the chance to go to England. Best trip ever! All the things we brought back from there are still my favorites. Hubby picked up a bust of a gargoyle at the Tower of London (and hauled it around all day - crazy man!). I bought a clan pin due to my obsession with the Outlander series. Lastly we have a watercolor of Stonehenge that is framed and sits on our entertainment center next to a photo of hubby standing next to Stonehenge. Did I mention this was the best trip ever!

6. Lemon meringue or key lime?

Don't throw any pies, m'k? Neither. My favorite pie is cherry pie. Yum!

7. What is the most beautiful word you know in any language?

One word? Love
There are so many more though.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I'm working on a "21-Day Health Challenge" that I will be posting soon. I'm doing to be giving up some trigger foods for 21 days. Interested in joining me? No prizes. Just the accountability of it all. I'm planning to start Friday. There, now that I've said that I guess I'll have to start Friday. I keep changing the start date! Details will be posted tomorrow.

Be sure to head over to From This Side of the Pond and join up!

  1. England is near and dear to my heart, sigh.
My hubs refers to my purse as The Black Hole...he reacts like your hubs if I tell him something he needs is in there : )

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
