Photo: In Ephesians 1:19-23, Paul revealed that he prayed for believers to grasp the infinite power of God. He explained to Christians that the same mighty power that raised Christ from the grave is inside us. When Christ rose, He conquered death and displayed resurrection power! How is Christ's resurrection active in your life? http://runningtowardschrist.blogspot.com/2013/09/ephesians-bible-study-lesson-two-sit.html

I'm always on the lookout for a good Bible study. I haven't yet found one that works with my schedule so it needs to be one that I can do on my own at home. The newest offering from Sue Edwards Discover Together series fits that bill nicely.

There are nine lessons in her new Ephesians study. Each lesson can be spread over the course of a week. Each also is designed to be as simple or as in-depth as you would like. If you chose to simply complete the basic questions, you would need about 90 minutes total to do so. Adding in the more in depth questions will give you a more focused look at the study and a few extra resources would be needed such as Vine's Expository Dictionary, an atlas, or a concordance to give a few examples.

One aspect I really enjoyed of the study are the videos that you can watch. Whenever a video was included as part of the study, a QR code is included in the book. This makes it very easy for those with smartphones, like myself, to connect to the video. However, if you don't have a smartphone, don't worry. All the videos are included at the website along with a free leader's guide.

There is actually a group of bloggers currently working their way through the series and sharing their insights on the Discover Together Facebook page.

As a busy homeschooling mom, I like the fact that I can go as in depth as I chose in this study. The ability to discuss the study on Facebook also makes me feel not quite so alone and gives me a bit of accountability as well.

This is the second study I've been able to check out from Sue Edwards and I've enjoyed both.

  1. I have loved every Sue Edwards study I've led. They are written well for a group which wants to study at varying levels of depth. I've not seen this one...so now I'm wondering...should I do this one on my own?????

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
