Flushed Away

You have to wonder if the wildlife that lives around us waits until they know my hubby is gone before they decide to descend on our home. It always seems to be when he's gone for an extended time that I get hit with rouge mice, extra insects, and other miscellanous things - such as spiders dropping in to bed with me. BIG spiders!! ::shudder::

I should probably be used to it by now, but I have to admit to being a bit startled last night. I headed to bed a bit later than usual. I saw something in my toilet. I seriously thought the kids had used it & forgot to flush it. Um, if only. Nope, I had my own version of "Flushed Away" right in my own house. A little field mouse swimming for all it was worth in my toilet bowl. EWWWW!

So after stepping away for a minute & realizing there was absolutely NO WAY I was going to be putting my hand in there to get him out, I did the only thing I could think of...I flushed...three times just to be safe.

My mouse certainly didn't look like the one in Flushed Away & I'm almost positive he isn't partying in the pipes right now either. Especially since we have our own septic system.

  1. you give an entirely new meaning to Party Pooper, lol!

Critters in the toilet...I could NOT deal. Bugs and stuff...eh...look up Cicada...then imagine shells and skins and tons of these critters all over the yard, road, and whatever else you choose. It's crunchy around here!!!

  2. LOL...too funny, Lisa. We've never found them in our toilet, but use the toilet for disposal of trap kills quite often.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
