For Today...
September 29th...the last Monday in September.
Outside my Window...
The is actually shining. It's windy. Not too cold but not too warm. A perfect fall day.
I am thinking...
of all the things I'd like to finish today and is still left to be crossed off my "to do" list.
From the learning rooms...
A good start to the week. We were able to squeeze in everything but music & art before lunch. I hope we can get to it after the babies naps are done. This is the fun stuff & I hate putting it off.
I am thankful for...
the forgiving hearts of children when mommy has a bad moment.
From the kitchen...
homemade oatmeal bread baking. Yum! I hope to make time for chocolate nut banana muffins later as well. Those will end up being my hubby's breakfast for the next week or so.
I am wearing...
a jean skirt (thought I was just going to say just jeans right?), leggings under for comfort, a pink flowery short-sleeve shirt & socks but no shoes.
I am reading...
Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind. You'll have to read the book to find out what that first rule is, but it is very true - even in real life.
I am hoping...
for a great afternoon with my kiddos - the ones that are mine & the ones I "borrow" each week.
I am creating...
no-sew/tie fleece blankets for Brady's Smiles. I finished the first one yesterday & plan to make five more.
I am hearing...
peace & quiet. Three kiddos are napping. One is playing quietly in his room & the oldest is off to get the mail with his great-grandfather. It's one of my favorite times of day.
One of my favorite things...
fresh bread out of the oven smeared with butter. Yum!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...
it's a relatively quiet week. The younger boys have soccer tomorrow. We all head to MOPS on Wednesday morning. Our MOPS coordinator is set to have a c-section tomorrow so pray for her if you think of it please. My middle son has his first soccer game on Saturday morning & then we'll be spending the day with my sister & good friend. Not too crazy busy, but just a rather normal week for us.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
This is a picture of our road heading back towards our house. It doesn't look like a steep hill but from this point on, the rest of the way is uphill including our driveway. It's about a 1/2 mile from this point. I love all the fall colors on the trees though. The wind would come up & knock leaves off & they would float down around us. I so love this time of year.

I love the photo you shared - simply gorgeous! It's hard to believe it's already the end of September. The years are flying by faster and faster.
ReplyDeleteI like those fleece blankets. A couple of Christmas's ago, we made a bunch for family. I burned out on making them, but they sure are snuggly.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pic!
