Blog Tour: North! Or Be Eaten...Giveaway!

I'm having flashbacks to high school when I didn't get an assignment done. But I have a good reason! Sort of. You see, I have this thing about not reading books out of order. I also have this little itsy bitsy tiny problem called procrastination. So while I now have Andrew Peterson's first book called On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness it only arrived yesterday so I have not yet read either the first book nor the second book, North! Or Be Eaten. ::ducking & blushing::

They do look interesting to say the least & I have them on my "to be read list." I'm pretty sure my almost 13-year-old might enjoy them as well. But he's inherited his mama's hang-ups & I couldn't get him to read the second book first either.

Readers thrilled to the phantasmagorical adventures in On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, Book One of the Wingfeather Saga. Now in Book Two, Janner, Tink, and Leeli Igiby, mom Nia, ex-pirate grandfather Podo, Peet the Sock Man, and trusty dog Nugget flee north to rebel headquarters.

Their escape brings readers to the very brink of Fingap Falls, over the Stony Mountains, and across the Ice Prairies, while villains galore try to stop the Igibys permanently. Fearsome toothy cows and horned hounds return, along with new dangers: a mad man running a fork factory, a den of rockroaches, and majestic talking sea dragons.

Andrew Peterson’s lovable characters create what says made Book One “one of the best fantasy novels in a very long time,” and Book Two contains even more thrills, exploring “themes universal in nature, ranging from the classic good versus evil, to the importance of family, and burdens of responsibility.”

Oh My Gosh!!! Seriously, one should not blog under pressure or while tired. I think it needs to be my new motto. I HAVE A COPY OF THIS BOOK TO GIVEAWAY!!!! Sheesh! This book is geared towards younger readers, but I think moms & dads would enjoy too. If you'd like to win a copy of North! Or Be Eaten (don't you just love that title?), just leave a comment! ;-)

  1. Sounds good! I'd love to read it just cause of the title!

  2. are giving a copy away? What do I need to do??? :) We are currently reading the first book (about half way finished) because Andrew Peterson is probably my favorite singer/songwriter. Do you listen to his music? It's so rich with the Gospel. So, very cool that you have the books as well. They take a little bit to get moving, but they are written so that your curiosity is piqued that you must read just one more chapter!

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
