FOR TODAY (October 5, 2009)...
Outside my window...the sun is shining but it's a crisp & cool fall day. My favorite kind.
I am thinking...of all the changes I need to make to school & our schedule. It's a bit overwhelming but I know the benefits will be huge. Taking another week to work on it.
I am thankful for...my blessed life.
From the learning rooms...lots of changes in how we are doing things. I'm still sticking with the CM learning philosophy but trying to add in more of the boys interests. Taking this week to continue tweaking materials and our schedule. Also reading a book by the Moore's - The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook.
From the kitchen...homemade bread & a whole chicken in the crock-pot.
I am wearing...crocs, jeans, turtleneck, & my comfy cardigan I only wear at home.
I am creating...lots of printable activities for the kids.
I am going...to try to get everything figured out this week so we can get back to learning.
I am reading...lots! I'm reading books from my Fall Into Reading 2009 challenge...lots!
I am hoping...winter waits a bit longer before making its appearance - like January or February at least.
I am hearing...a cooing baby in my arms & Diego on the TV.
Around the house...organizing! Spending the week getting things decluttered & organized.
One of my favorite things...homemade bread - see above. ;-)
A few plans for the rest of the week: soccer practice, visiting my sister & returning books to the state library (we have a lot!) plus visiting the state museum while we're there to make the trip worth it. Also having a friend over on Thursday to help me organizing my stuff. And the biggest thing this week - the Newsboys concert & a date with hubby on Saturday! Yeah!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
this is how I spend most nights & weekends these days - N8 loves soccer
