FOR TODAY
(Monday, November 30th...the last day of the month - WOW!)...
Outside my window...
it is overcast and rainy. It's been raining a lot in the last few days but I'm very thankful it's not yet snow.
I am thinking...
I have a lot of work to get done on the computer today. Must stay focused!
I am thankful for...
my husband. He works very hard at his job. He typically puts in long hours. He has a very long commute (1 hour each way) & he does it all without complaining. Thanks, babe.
From the learning rooms...
we're just starting back slowly today. I spent an hour this morning just reading. This afternoon we'll play some games (shhhh - the boys don't know that yet!). I'm working on putting together our "Christmas school" resources & will need to get that all pulled together by tomorrow.
From the kitchen...
not sure. Homemade pizza tonight, chicken one night & probably pork as well as long as hubby is home at his usual time & doesn't have any night meetings. Not sure if I'll bake anything or not. I have some bananas going bad so maybe some chocolate chip banana nut muffins & I'll save them for Christmas gifts. I'll be doing a lot of that over the next few weeks.
I am wearing...
brown cargo jeans, homemade knit socks, layering camisole, and black turtleneck. Nothing fancy today. Although, it's never fancy around here. Just comfy.
I am creating...
not much right now. Blog posts, church newsletter. A recent talk on Facebook reminded me how much I need to scrapbook but I first have to sort through all my accumulated supplies. There's far too much in there. Far too much.
I am going...
to stay focused - with a lot of help from God.
I am reading...
just finished a historical juvenile novel for the TOS Crew reviews. Not sure what else I have laying around. Might be time to order more books from the library.
I am hoping...
to finish up my Christmas shopping this coming weekend.
I am hearing...
the dryer tumbling. That's it. I love naptime!
Around the house...
still have to get the plastic up on the windows but the temperatures have been so mild, I haven't had the urgency to cover them. All the curtains should be washed too. Other than that - the same old stuff.
One of my favorite things...
did I mention naptime?
A few plans for the rest of the week:
back to the swing of things. AWANA on Thursday night, Bible study on Friday night. Teaching my homeschool photo class on Friday (after having two months off). Hubby's office Christmas party on Saturday in Freeport. Oh & my MIL offered to keep the boys overnight & told us to get a hotel. So we did. One should always listen to their MIL about such things. ;-)
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
I love little boys & their imaginations. I'll be posting soon about what N8 is doing here. It's pretty cool I think.
I enjoyed my visit and reading your daybook - it seems like it's dull and rainy coast to coast, but we are seeing some sunshine in OH! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Christmas Party! Enjoy a night in Freeport! I love Freeport!
