My Daybook

Be sure to hop over to Peggy's blog to read more entries and link up.

Outside my window...darkness has fallen. The day is winding down - for the kids at least. I still have a good four or five hours in me. I am eagerly waiting for next week after we have "sprung" ahead for daylight savings.

I am thinking...I have a lot to accomplish. I need to stay focused.

I am thankful for...homeschooling friends who are gung-ho and are scheduling fun outings (see photo) below. It's nice to step back from some of the planning and just enjoy.

From the learning rooms...a lot of fun outings this week. Today we went to an art studio and played with "mud." Tomorrow we'll be finding out about Egypt at our homeschool co-op and then checking out a play at a local opera house. When we're we'll be doing the usual things.

From the kitchen...B13 made chocolate chip cookies today. Yum! I'll be making some more later in the week as well as some molasses crinkles. My family will be gathering on Sunday to mark the one year anniversary of Mom's death. It's hard to believe it's already been a full year.

I am wearing...fuzzy socks, winter crocs, really comfy jeans, and a long sleeved t-shirt.

I am creating...a memory book of my Mom for Sunday.

I am going...to get through all I need to do and try to prioritize things a bit better.

I am reading...focusing on catching up in my 90-Day Bible reading challenge. I'm still in the Old Testament and I should be done with that and in to the New Testament at this point. I'm also reading blog tour books. Right now I'm working on Start Here by the Harris brothers.

I am hoping...that I can finish up the photo book of my Mom before Saturday so I have time to get it printed. Nothing like waiting for the last minute. I've been thinking of doing this for a while now.

I am hearing...the TV playing "Bolt" while the little boys wind down for the night. Early bedtime tonight I think. There have been a lot of long nights around here lately and it's starting to catch up with them.

Around the house...getting caught up on laundry. Staring at piles that needed to be moved and taken care of. Enjoying the spring-like weather we've been having.

One of my favorite things...spring with warmer weather. It doesn't get better than that. No bugs. Warm enough to go outside and soak up the sun. If there was only someway to avoid "mud season."

A few plans for the rest of the week: tomorrow is our geography co-op. We're studying Egypt. Then were off to see a play (Lily's Purple Plastic Purse) and no, the boys do not know the title of it. Groceries. AWANA. Bible Study. AWANA games. Busy, busy, busy.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
