2010 Gratitude Challenge - November 12

Today I am very thankful for homeschooling. I also want to start by thanking all those homeschool veterans who challenged the laws and made homeschooling a viable choice in this country. I also want to thank all those who continue to push for continued freedom and acceptance.

Homeschooling is such a wonderful freedom. I am so very thankful I am able to stay home every day with my children and teach them. Yes, it's hard. Yes, there are many days I wonder what on earth I'm doing. Yes, there are days I want to run far, far, far away from it all. However, I always remind myself of why we chose to go this route and I don't regret a minute of it.

Our boys are well-adjusted and well-socialized. None have met a stranger and can hold a conversation (and then some) with anyone of any age. Consider that fair warning if you come to my house. You will be inundated by small children speaking in large sentences. I'm truly blessed my hubby works so hard and supports my efforts here at home.

  1. I praise God for this too. I was told in the beginning that our kids would suffer because of homeschooling. Now I get lots of compliments because they are well behaved.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
