{TOS Crew Review} Homeschool Library Builder

Photobucket

en'abler - n - to provide (someone) with adequate power, means,
opportunity, or authority (to do something)

I'm pretty sure that after you read this post, you'll think of me as the above. Perhaps my photo should be there beside the word in the dictionary. Why you might ask?

Because I'm going to share about one of my favorite places to buy books online. Homeschool Library Builder. How bad could it be you might be asking. Do you like books? Then don't click over. Trust me. You'll want to ignore this post. Go click somewhere else, but don't head over to Homeschool Library Builder. After all, how many books does one person, one family really need?

Okay, I am completely kidding here. I joke that my living room decor is "book shelf." I truly believe one can never have too many books. And the two homeschool families who began Homeschool Library Builder obviously believed that as well.

Homeschool Library Builder is an online book store that stocks not only  new books, but many used books as well. The prices are excellent. What I like is that the book condition is rated with an easy to understand system and priced according to that rating. I can decide if I want to save some money and buy a copy a bit more used or invest in a newer copy of a book.

There are various ways to search for books as well which makes it easy to just browse for fun or to find that one last book you need to flesh out your school year. If you are using a literature based curriculum, you can easily find the books you need for a fraction of the cost as well. There is an easy "search by curricula" button right in the middle of the home page.

HSLB also has a membership feature - for free (my favorite price). This allows for a number of perks. You'll receive monthly newsletters full of sales and promotions - these change each month. There is also a book reward program. You can earn one Book Point for each dollar spent. Fifteen Book Points equals $1 and the best part - they never expire.

If you are looking for a hard to find book, let HSLB know and they will happily help you find it. That's what I call great customer service.

Do you have your own business? Are you a homeschool family? HSLB has a marketplace that is completely free. Seriously! Simply submit your info to them for review and if it meets their guidelines and criteria, they will share your info. The only catch?  They ask that you give a 10% discount to HSLB customers.

Lastly, HSLB also has a "Helping Hands" category. If you purchase anything from this section, the money goes to support a child from Compassion International. Compassion has a place close to my heart. Our family sponsors a young girl in India and my hubby's company just began sponsoring a little boy in Bolivia.

HSLB is currently having a really fantastic sale - everything on their site is 25% off through the month of May. No coupon code necessary to take advantage of this sale.

Be sure to head over to the TOS Homeschool Crew blog to see what other Crew members are saying about Homeschool Library Builder. Excuse me while I go do a bit of book shopping because as I mentioned above - you can never have too many books.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
