My Daybook

Be sure to head over to The Simple Woman's Daybook to check out more entries.

FOR TODAY...Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Outside my window...darkness has fallen. It's closing in on 9pm.

I am thinking...life has been crazy lately. We've been really busy and we're going to still be pretty busy. I'm wishing for a vacation I think. And spring. Not necessarily in that order either.

I am thankful for...my family.

From the learning rooms...working on making sure we get the TOS Crew review materials in to our school day. We've had some amazing resources sent our way lately!

From the kitchen...thinking of doing some "freezer cooking." I am also trying to find some new recipes. I've never admitted to being a "cook." I am much more of a "baker." I'm a very plain cook so I'm looking to change things up. They  need to be healthy too. Anyone?

I am wearing...fuzzy socks, comfy jeans, layering camisole, comfy sweater..."my uniform" minus the Crocs.

I am creating...thinking of doing a small remembrance album of my Mom. The one year anniversary is coming up next week.

I am going...to figure out a workable schedule - I hope.

I am reading...lots! Still working on my Prentiss Bible study (and loving it still), very behind in my 90-Day Bible reading challenge (but getting caught up), reading books for blog tours. The current one is book four in a series by Chuck Black called Lady Carliss and the Waters of Moorue. It's really good so far. I always have a bunch of books going.

I am hoping...that next week goes well. My brother is thinking of flying out from California so we can all get together to celebrate our Mom's life. It's surreal to think she's been gone almost a year.

I am hearing...the TV going in the shop where hubby is working on the bills (ugh!). I'm enjoying American Idol. The dishwasher is working in the kitchen too. I love my dishwasher.

Around the house...
spring is coming which means more mud and dirt getting tracked in my house. I'm thinking of making a "room cleaning" day here soon when all of us spend some time working on cleaning out our rooms.

One of my favorite things...
family dinner and a game. A great way to end the night.

A few plans for the rest of the week: homeschool co-op, worship team practice, and dinner out with friends all tomorrow. Thursday should just be AWANA - at least I don't think I have anything else planned. Friday I'm going to my Dad's for a visit in the afternoon and then Bible study. Saturday I'll be cleaning Grandma's house (weekly cleaning) and probably working on housework here too.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Taken at the Higgins Armory Museum this past weekend. Isn't he cute?!?!

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
