It's Here!!

I decided to try out The Something Special Swap hosted by The Homeschool Post. I'm actually something of a swap veteran & I have done various ones over the years. When I was just starting to find my way around a Yahoo group I was introduced to scrapbooking swaps. These took on various forms from making little "make & take" items to swapping various things like ribbon. I did a lot of them for a few years until I realized I was only doing swaps & I had no time for scrapbooking! Those started to go by the wayside.

I've also done gift swaps & ornament swaps & a number of other types of swaps. They are super fun. Seriously, who wouldn't want to get a surprise gift in the mail? Honestly now...

So I signed up.

The rules were simple. Sign up. Get matched up. Mail a gift worth between $5-$10. Post a photo. Done! Well, there were some pesky deadlines attached to all that but it was still super simple! ;-)

So today my package arrived! Woo-Hoo! Did I mention how cool it is to get surprise gifts in the mail??

I was matched up with Jennifer from Believing His Promises. I loved what she sent me. Seriously! Thanks, Jennifer! There was a cute little candle apple topper in there. It should fit on my pumpkin candle that I'm currently burning. I love that candle. Then there were three nice pencils. You know, the kind you'd hide from the kiddos. ;-) After all, as Jennifer said in her card, a homeschool mom can never have enough of those or the little post-its. I love little post-its. They work for marking many neat things. Then the photo marker which I really do not have! I can't wait to try that out.

Thanks, Jennifer!

  2. WHAT FUN! This reminds me that I still need to get my PAY IT FORWARD things sent off one of these days. I bet the year is quickly approaching if not already come and gone.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not here all alone. Thanks for leaving me a comment. It helps that I'm not always talking to myself. Right? Hello?
